This test provides a measure of the heat and insensible moisture trapping/ dispersion nature of a support surface.
Why this test is needed
Heat contributes to the metabolic stress of loaded tissues and humidity contributes to maceration and abrasion.
How this test is performed
A heated indenter applies water vapor to the support surface and is measured by temperature and humidity sensors.
