Horizontal Stiffness
Horizontal stiffness measures the resistance to lateral shifts while seated on a wheelchair cushion.
Why this test is needed
This test shows the change in force over time in response to a displacement, or how hard a cushion pushes on the tissue following a change in position.
How this test is performed
A loaded buttock shaped indenter is applied to the support surface and is pulled laterally and the force is measured.
